Standard School Attire (SSA)
Students must come to school wearing items listed below:
Tops
- Must be solid color. Logos may not be bigger than 2 inches (no text).
- Collars are not required. Students can wear long, short, or sleeveless tops (wide straps only). No tank tops.
- Sweaters, cardigans, or additional layers of clothing must be a solid color. Logos may not be bigger than 2 inches (no text). No winter jackets can be worn inside building.
- No hats or raised hoodies inside the school. Headwear is only permitted for religious reasons.
- No oversized or undersized clothing allowed.
- No top longer than bottoms. Bottoms must be visible. Midriff must be covered.
- Sylvan Park Spirit wear may be worn any day.
Bottoms
- Pants/khakis/jeans/shorts/skirts/athletic pants must be solid color. No holes/rips.
- Solid-colored leggings with a shirt/top that is fingertip length and completely covering bottom.
- Leggings (solid colors) may be worn under dress/skirts/shorts.
- Shorts/dresses/skirts must be to fingertip length.
Shoes
- Sneakers/tennis shoes strongly encouraged, especially on PE days.
- Shoes must have a closed toe. No flip flops.
Fridays are Spirit/Team Days. Students can wear their Sylvan Park shirts or their favorite team shirt/sweatshirts. Any additional non-SSA days will be communicated via call-out or by your child’s teacher.
SSA Violations
Please contact counselor if there are clothing needs.
- After a student's first offense, there will be teacher conference with student & clothing change
- After a second and/or third offense, the student's teacher will contact parent and document the offense
- After a fourth offense, admin will contact parent for a meeting to discuss clothing needs
You can order Sylvan Park Spirit wear for your student, which they are permitted to wear every day. All items ship free to the school and will be sent home with your student when they arrive, unless ship to home is selected.
